• Writing Our Days Through Second Grade

• Big Feelings

  I would like to thank you for your generous donations to this project. The impact made from the use of these items this year has been immense. The books received were beautiful lead ins into teaching the children how to identify and manage their emotions. The students loved them so much that the books had regular shelf time rotation all year.

  When it came time to take out the potato heads and magnatiles the students were beyond excited. We were able to use them to demonstrate emotion scenarios as well as use them as calming rainy day activities. Lastly, the flex bands for the chair legs were very helpful for our classmates that had a little bit of extra energy to get out during work time.

• Hear Me Out

  Funded Oct 14, 2022

  Thank you again for your gracious donation to my classroom project "Hear Me Out". When my students first received their new head phones they were so excited! They could hardly wait for me to pass them out. Students were also happy to be given a headphone holder so that their new headphones would not get tangled.

  Now students are able to focus on their own computer work without having to hear others working. We plan to further our learning using our headphones to help with our differentiation in the classroom.”

• Recess at a Distance

  I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating these supplies for our classroom this year. As you know we are going through some very unprecedented times this school year. Every attempt to help to let the students and their families know that we are in this together no matter how small makes huge waves of care in their lives.

  Currently we have not been able to utilize the materials for our recess at a distance as of yet. This is due to us having not met in person this school year.

  Next steps will be if we are able to meet in person each student will have materials for them to have recess together but at a distance. If we continue to not be able to meet in person we will send home care packages with their recess at a distance materials.”

• Oh the Places We Can Explore!

  I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating these supplies for our classroom this year. As you know we are going through some very unprecedented times this school year. Every attempt to help to let the students and their families know that we are in this together no matter how small makes huge waves of care in their lives.

  Currently the way we are using the materials that we received are by sending home the readers each time we send home a student packet. From there we are using them as a supplement when we have our small group reading meetings. It helps to keep them current on what is going on in the world, while practicing reading.

  Next steps will be to continue to replace send the readers home in each packet pick up until we meet again in person. Should we return to physical school we will use them in our small groups then have whole class discussions.”

• No Worries...We've Got You Colored!

  I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating these supplies for our classroom this year. As you know we are going through some very unprecedented times this school year. Every attempt to help to let the students and their families know that we are in this together no matter how small makes huge waves of care in their lives.

  Currently the way we are using the materials that we received are by providing essential materials to the students so that their families will not have to buy these items. We have been able to complete some beautiful projects over distance learning using the materials.

  Next steps will be to continue to replace their materials as needed until we run out of the donated materials so that they are able to not only complete school work but also to use the materials as a creative outlet.”
