  • Remote Learning for Supreme

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity of contributing to my student's donor choose project. The student used these resources while we were shut down due to the pandemic. They were super excited to receive the materials through the mail and were totally over the moon to explore them. I used these materials on my live lessons and they really enjoyed the new interesting materials I was able to get through Donors Choose.

These materials made my live lessons more inviting and fun. The student wanted to participate more and were excited to show me what else they received. Thank you again for all your support with this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paulsen

  • Learning Tools

    Funded Apr 30, 2020

From you generous gifts I was able help students with special needs grasp various concepts from our units of study.

All of my students were so excited when they saw the new materials. They immediately wanted to open everything.

Even though we have been in and out of school since September the children have been so resilient and eager to come back into the classroom knowing there were new materials to play with.

The various math materials especially the shape sorter was helpful to many of my students still struggling with identifying various shapes.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paulsen

My students are about to enter the most important part of their lives. Pre-K is the time where children ages three and four begin to socialize and create relationships. Gross motor play in Phys-ED is the perfect instructional setting where students interact with each other through play which helps build their social emotional cognitive skills. These skills require a fun and adventurous setting to be accomplished. Unfortunately, the journey for our special education students will often be long and difficult especially when accompanied by a sensory processing disorder. With the right equipment our staff will be able to meet the sensory and social needs of the children. The ability of having a sensory gym in our school would allow students to become sensory savvy. Sensory savvy students will be able to self-regulate their bodies. This self-soothing will allow them to learn basic life skills such as language, relationship building, gross and fine motor skills.
