Hands on Learning With a Light Table
Funded Jan 22, 2022My students were so excited to see and use the light table! They have been loving it to help them learn! They love learning hands on and by using so many of their senses. We have been able to work on our literacy skills by learning letters, letter sounds, spelling, matching upper case letters to lower case letters and so much more. We have also been able to work on our Math skills by learning numbers, counting, matching numbers to the correct amount of objects, sorting, and so much more. I would not have been able to get the light table and manipulatives without your generosity and help. Thank you so much for helping my students continue to learn and progress in a fun and exciting way!”

Funded May 27, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations! I would not have been able to get these iPads without your help! Because of the donations that I have received, I am able to have 1 iPad to every 3 students in my class during large group time and every child can have their own iPad during small group time whereas before I had 1 iPad to every 12 students. This has made it easier for my students to use them. They are also able to better see what I am showing them as well as what their peers are doing. This helps model what they need to learn. My students have loved using them to enrich their learning and skills!”

Funded Mar 28, 2021The iPads that I have received have benefited my students greatly! My students were so excited to know that we got them for our class! We have been able to use them during large group time and small group time. My students are able to work on many different skills through the iPad. One of my students' favorite things to do with the iPads are to go around the room and take pictures of things so that they can things from different perspectives. They will take the pictures and then show them to their peers to talk about what they are seeing the in pictures (ex. a square window, a letter "T" in a word, a blue car, 5 toys, a boy/girl, etc.). This activity alone is helping them in so many different ways. It helps with their speech/language, social, math, literacy, and so many other skills. The iPads are helping my students get a more hands-on learning experience.
I work with special needs students so another thing that my students have been able to use the iPads for is communication. I have had some students that do not talk a lot or are nonverbal. So they are able to use the iPads to express their wants and needs. I cannot say thank you enough for your generosity in helping my students get the iPads!”
