Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times students are constantly asking to sit in different areas, including on the floor and under their desks. Movement and choice can really motivate students and help them be more creative. There is something about them being able to hide under their desks, in their own little world that helps engage students. The students who benefit the most are those who are easily distracted and distract others. By allowing them a little freedom of movement can really help students grow.
The products I have selected will give them more seating options to help engage and motivate students. I have selected 3 floor seats and 3 lap desks to allow students the ability to be mobile. They can hide away in corners or under desks. A little choice and freedom can really aid in student learning. Otherwise students are stuck at the same desk all day. Their brains go on autopilot and they can easily check out. The ability to move will awaken their minds to leaning and growth.
