Raising Tadpoles in the Classroom!

Funded Nov 16, 2021

The students of my class love the tadpoles! They continue to be a vital role in our classroom. The students feed them and watch them grow each day. You have made a lot of children happy in the Bronx.

The students were so, so excited to have a living thing in the classroom. They named each of the tadpoles and were able to get at least two tadpoles per table. Actually, observing, feeding, and caring for them really brought out a lot of the students' knowledge about the tadpoles. The knowledge and excitement just lightened our room each day, and the students looked forward to doing their classwork.

The next steps for our next lesson or project are to create their frog trading cards. Each student is going to pick a frog and write about the frog. They will share their frog's species, color, habitat, pray, predator, and special adaptations that help the frog to survive. Thank you again for this beautiful gift that you have given my children!”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Grossman
