  • Art Chairs for All!

    Funded Dec 23, 2023

I can't thank you guys enough for supporting my art classroom. It has been a big change with the new chairs for my students. They are able to use the chair at all times.

Once we receive our chairs I was able to put it together using the instruction manual.

We started a musical chair project once the chair was introduced to my class. Even though it was at a art classroom. we were able to calm and shake our sillies out. After our warm ups at the end of every week we have star students to be able to sit on out special chair as a reward.”

    With gratitude,

  • Watercolor In Art

    Funded Apr 7, 2021

Thank you for your help. My students are able to come to school and pick up some watercolors and also other art materials as a "goodie bag" to take home. we were able to do a watercolor study, I've shared books about watercolor. we've also created many artwork using watercolor art.

Students were super excited when they see watercolor as a medium. students doesn't really work with watercolors at home or in school because they are so young and this is a great experience for them.

Next steps for my class will be have my student pick out parts they like about watercolor book and practice drawing and using the medium together.”

    With gratitude,

  • Art and Literacy

    Funded Jun 1, 2020

This year is unlike others, Due to Covid-19 I wasn't able to have students physically experience with books. So what I did was to have zoom with students. I would use these books I've received to read to students. Even-though its over the screen(ZOOM) students loved to listen and looked at the images of these books.

Hope after this pandemic these books will reach student's hand in our library where they can share reading with friends.

Again, Thanks to the donors who supports my students to help them with a better education.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wu

  • Exploring art with materials

    Funded Aug 18, 2020

Thank you all for your support. This year is unlike other years. We started working in school and so my items were able to reach students hands, we were able to work with paint and materials. Due to Covid-19, we were able to divided our materials and send some art materials home to our students for them to create art at home. They were able to send these pictures to me while they are home, and some photos were taking in school while schools were open.

There are lots of pictures of students creations but we were able to share only 6 for this project.

Again, thank you all for the things you do to support my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wu

My students need art books to help with literacy and visuals. With these books, students will get inspired with new ideas. I would like to include as many visuals as possible when I am teaching art. Students make art by learning and seeing things around their classroom. With these books, students can understand that books are a great visual to have in an art classroom. When I start my projects, I always introduce a book with projects so students can be inspired to not just look at the pictures inside their books but also the form, line, shapes, color and also, composition.
