Most of my students have ADHD and are on the Autism spectrum. The students have a hard time sitting still. Since I teach a self-contained special education class and my classroom is basically half a room, the students really do not have the room to just walk around when they need to. If a child is moving around in their regular seats they are usually distracting others around them. These chairs would make it so the kids could concentrate while moving at the same time. During my math lesson on Rotations a student was so excited he was trying to spin in his chair and fell. It would have been actually really great for him to be able to twist around in his seat. Many times during a lesson breaks are needed to let the kids move. Getting them to focus again after a break is a challenge and can become frustrating. With these chairs, fewer breaks would be needed.
