  • Recess Fun for All!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. While we have some fun and exciting playground equipment, we have basket ball courts and a soccer field that were going unused due to missing equipment. With these new soccer balls, basketballs and kick balls, the students have been having a blast playing games they weren't able to play before. The soccer field has gotten so much use and the kids are working on their sportsman like conduct. The jump ropes have also been a popular recess choice. The kids are all loving the new equipment and toys.”

  • Hygiene Supplies for Families

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. We have many families that need basic necessities and having them available at school has been amazing. There have been many students that have needed a little care package to take home and it helps them feel welcome into our community and lets families know how much we care about their well being. We wouldn't have access to these kind of supplies without your help. Many teachers in our building were buying these items with their own money. Thank you again for all of your help.”

  • Nose Into a Book!

    Funded Aug 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. We love to get new books into our classroom. The students have been loving graphic novels. These books have helped develop and interest in reading that some of my kids did not previously have. It is also nice to have book series in the classroom. When students find a book that interests them they can continue on with the series. I have also found that students are making recommendations to other classmates and sharing their love of books with each other. Our classroom library would be bare without all of the help you have provided.”

  • Headphone and Supplies

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you so much for the donations to our classroom. The supplies and the headphones that you helped to fund are so helpful I cannot even put it into words. We use the whiteboard markers and headphones every single day. The students were also excited to have fun colored headphones to choose from and it helps them to keep track of which headphones belong to which students. We have already worn out a fair share of whiteboard markers and having a box full of them at our disposal has been amazing. Thank you so much for your contributions, you have no idea what they mean to us in our classroom.”

  • BE-Leaf in Yourself

    Funded Jul 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom. The materials we received helped me to get our classroom set up and ready for students at the beginning of the year. Our classroom has an amazing plant theme and is a great welcoming space for all staff members and students that walk through our door. The new rug in the back of the classroom is a great space for students to spread out and read or work with partners.

The students are loving the new posters over in our take a break/calming corner. They use them to help calm themselves down when they are having a difficult time.”

  • Rug Love

    Funded Oct 3, 2023

I cannot even explain to you how excited my students were when our new rug arrived. Not only were they over the moon about the fact that it matched our classroom theme for the year, many of them insisted it was the softest rug they had ever felt before. I laid it out in the back of the classroom to help it unroll and I couldn't keep the students off of it because they were so excited to sit on it. They all picked their favorite letter to be their "spot". I have one student in particular that is sensitive to sitting on carpet and she promptly changed her mind about our new carpet and was happy to join the class during carpet time. Thank you so much for your donations!”

  • Share the Work!

    Funded Sep 27, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! The Apple TV has been a big help when it comes to sharing our thoughts and ideas with the whole class. With the Apple TV we are able to project from any iPad, iPhone, or Macbook from anywhere in the classroom. This allows students to do all of their work on their own devices and still have the ability to show how their thought process and work to the group. This device also allows me to project from my laptop and still keep it with me during independent learning groups. This has been such a great addition to our classroom learning!”

  • Let's Grow!

    Funded Apr 2, 2023

I want to thank you so much for your donations. Last year we were able to grow so many amazing things in our classroom because of our new growing materials! The first graders were able to take the seeds out of a pumpkin in the fall, dry the seeds, and then plant them in the spring. We had the healthiest pumpkin plants you could find! We were also able to learn about the growth cycle of seeds and provide flowers for students to gift to their special people at the end of the school year. We wouldn't have been able to grow these amazing things without our watering system and indoor lights! Our classroom became an indoor garden and it made us all so happy!”

  • High Interest Books

    Funded May 10, 2023

Thank you so much for all of these beautiful books! So often our classroom libraries are the only place students can consistently check out books. It is hard to keep classroom libraries relevant and full of high interest books. Not only are these books exciting and new, they also represent the students in the classroom. It is really important for students to see themselves represented in the books that they read. These books have also been great because they are just at my third graders reading level! Thank you so much for helping us become strong readers!”

These materials will greatly improve my reading and math time as students will have a chance to engage in more hands-on activities. The goal is to create a more student centered classroom where students feel motivated to explore and learn independently. The reading materials include high interest independent practice at a variety of levels and fluency practice that will help my struggling readers. The math activities are for independent work time and include games and puzzles that review our third grade math standards. These activities will also help solidify understanding of earlier standards that students may continue to struggle with. I believe that a new and fun approach to learning will engage my students and help them become successful independent learners. I selected these materials not only because they match our third grade standards but because they are also at a variety of levels. I want all of my students to feel successful and work independently regardless of their current level. I would be absolutely thrilled to add these learning materials to our classroom.
