Our students will be starting a social studies unit where they will be learning all about the city they live in, the surrounding communities, and the state of Massachusetts. We were fortunate enough to have our district approve a few really awesome field trips so that our kids can explore these areas first hand! We'd love to be able to snap photos of the places we go and document our learning through photo collages, written reports and a student created passport. The materials in this project will give our scholars the tools that they need to document their learning through the exploration of Hoyloke. Through this unit children will learn how they can have a positive impact on their community. This learning will set them up to be successful leaders now and in the future.
