My students will be able to have freedom to move and spread out on this rug during morning meeting. They will be able to utilize the different concepts that are depicted on the rug throughout the day to further their learning and strengthen their basic skills. My students have learned how to use their surroundings as educational resources. They love to look at the posters and other materials throughout the classroom to help them complete assignments and tasks. These rugs will provide them with useful tools that are fun and easy to use. The reason two rugs have been requested is because I utilize two classrooms that are joined by a doorway. One side is filled with my students who are still focused on learning the basic concepts and skills that make up each subject. These concepts include the alphabet, numbers 1 through 10, and shapes and colors. The other side is filled with students who have made it a little farther academically. Although they are not on their grade level academically, they are able to read and have begun to add, subtract, and multiply.
