Many of my Kindergarteners are just beginning to read! Each day, students visit a variety of centers during our literacy block. I would really like to add a listening center to our current rotation. In order to establish a listening center, our class needs a CD player, headphones, and books with read-along CDs. My students are not ready to read independently and would benefit from hearing fluent readers, which is what a listening center would allow them to do. A listening center would be extremely beneficial to my students' learning at this time. I have also requested a couple of additional literacy items which will be used during our center time.
