Book Club Meets Technology
Funded Oct 15, 2013I cannot begin to thank you enough for the tremendous amount of support you've given my classroom. Just wait until you see the faces of these kids as they open the boxes of books they've been dying to have!
You've given my students the opportunity to grow their love of books and the technology to allow them to create projects which will inspire others to take interest and learn to love books as well. You've truly made a bigger difference than I could ever begin to explain. Thank you.”

Exciting Examples for All to See Digitally
Funded Sep 26, 2013Thank you so very much for your generous donations! I am beyond excited to get the document camera into my classroom to share writing with the kids! It will be just in time, too, as we are starting writing projects.
Your support is greatly appreciated. Donors like you make education today great for kids. Without your contributions, students like mine may never have the opportunities you have allowed them to have. Thank you once again for all of your support.”

Funded Sep 4, 2013Thank you so very much for your donations! My students are going to be so thrilled and excited to use the new resources which you have so generously provided. I cannot wait to start blogging with them.
The students have already set up their Blogger accounts and are awaiting the resources to start blogging. We will be ready to hit the ground running as soon as the iPad Minis arrive!
Again, thank you so very much for everything. People like you truly make a difference.”

Funded Oct 4, 2012Thank you so much for being so generous to my students! They have absolutely loved making their own videos for a flipped classroom!
They have spent countless hours creating original content which can be used over and over again. Their video editing skills are quite impressive.
With your help, the students have been able to make themselves successful both in and out of the classroom. Several students have shared with me that they often revisit their videos in order to study for tests.
With state testing coming up, I expect to hear many more students raving about having the ability to revisit videos of lessons!
Thank you once again.”

Defined Learning for All
Funded Dec 12, 2011Thank you so much for your generosity! With your donation, my students, as well as many others, have had a chance to use updated, clean copies of dictionaries.
As soon as we received the dictionaries, the students were given a lesson on how to use a dictionary. Many of them had never opened a dictionary before in their life. Since receiving the dictionaries and the lesson, I found the students turning to them more and more for assistance.
Not a day goes by when the students do not use their dictionaries. They are extremely grateful to have clean copies, free of obscene pictures or profanity.
They were allowed to utilize the dictionaries on the state test. Those students I monitored relied heavily upon the dictionaries for unfamiliar words.
We can't thank you enough.”

Too Embarrassed to Read... Not Anymore!
Funded Jan 19, 2011My students and I cannot thank you enough for the Nooks you so generously donated to my classroom. Everyday, the students rush in, hoping to be the first ones there so that they might be able to be the ones to use the Nooks that day.
Those who have been assigned the Nooks in Reading Lab have benefited tremendously this year. By using the Nook's "Look Up" feature, they have been able to build their vocabulary by defining words in higher level books. Most of the students have jumped at least 2 reading levels since before the Nooks arrived.
The students and I thank you very much for what you have done for them. Without you, they might not have been able to accomplish as much as they did in as short of an amount of time. You have changed their lives. Thank you, once again.”

Readers, Readers Everwhere, But Not Enough Books to Read!
Funded Dec 12, 2010I cannot express my gratitude enough. The books you so generously donated to my classroom have increased student interest in reading dramatically! My classes were once filled with reluctant readers. Now that we have new, high-interest books, the students cannot wait to get to class to return to their books! No longer do I have to try to convince the kids to read. Instead, my biggest issue is getting them to share the books. Many will race to class to make sure they get their chosen book before anyone else can.
Your donation has helped increase literacy and may have quite possibly created life-long readers out of my students. For that, my students and I thank you very, very much”
