This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors and one other donor.

These materials will help students master NVACS.Math.6.NS.A to build towards mastery of dividing fractions by working on the foundational skills many missed during the pandemic such as multiplication and division fluency as well as developing conceptual understanding of fraction multiplication. Students will also use these materials to work towards mastery of NVACS.Math.6.RP.A.3.C to be able to work with percentages. To do so, the materials will help them to understand the foundational skills of fraction conversion to decimals and then connect that to percentages. After a year online, students need math instruction that is hands-on and visual. This will help them to develop the quantitative skills they need to thrive now and in the future.
