This school year my students have started learning about computer science. They are really interested in how technology can be used to explore and create ideas. The New York City Department of Education would like all elementary students to complete at least one unit in computer science by the year 2025. These materials will enhance my students’ learning of computer science. Some of the lessons I taught have been unplugged. The headphones and BeeBots will allow my students to grow their understanding of technology. The BeeBots will reinforce their understanding of algorithms, planning, perseverance, and other skills related to computer science.
