  • Chart Display to help students visually as they work

    Funded Jan 31, 2024

Since the arrival of our new easel students have begun to utilize the charts made together more frequently. We started right away with our newest shared reading, Bud, Not Buddy. We were able to track the events of each chapter and at one point, we even made a whole diagram describing the symbolization of "planting a seed" to represent Bud's idea of seeking to find his father.

During math one day, I discovered our smartboard wasn't cooperating, so I was able to easily flip the chart paper to a new sheet and work out a problem string for all to see quickly without wasting time.

Our newest thing has been working together to model ways to enhance our writing to encourage students to strive for better writing quality while doing their short responses.

This has been a HUGE help and I couldn't have done it without all your support. So a HUGE THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Small Group Display Board

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for your continued assistance and support for me within the classroom. The easel has made it so much easier to work with small groups at my kidney table. It has also provided us with another space to share our ideas and theories during our read alouds. The kids enjoy that it has magnets and continue to ask if they can move charts to see what is also hanging on it. The wheels makes it easy for me to move it about the room.

The students are extremely excited that there is somewhere they can show off their skills and are eager to assist me when it comes to moving, cleaning or repositioning posters. I have several students share they are impressed with how big it is and how nice it is.

This move was a big one and this adjustment is still an ongoing process. Having the right tools has made all the difference and I can not tell you enough how much I appreciate your gratitude and thoughtfulness to helping make sure the classroom is a successful environment.”

  • Color Printer to Brighten Classroom full of Colorful Kids!

    Funded May 8, 2022

Since I received my color printer, I had some trouble hooking it up, but I have amazing friends who basically "broke the internet" to sync it to my network.

After I got it working, the printer has been used for Social Emotional Learning posters used to match student work. Basically, after reading a book for Mindset Monday, kids completed an activity to support the message of the book. To boost our displays we added a color copy of the book next to their work.

Our students always love seeing their work on display and this just makes the walls look better. Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Document Camera for 2021 Learning

    Funded Mar 2, 2021

The camera arrived during one of the four shut downs the school has experienced since January. As soon as we returned to school, we worked with kids for a week before being sent home again! But this time, when I went home to teach the students, I was able to successfully use the camera to demonstrate some of the newest writing we had been working on in class. The size of the camera makes it so nice because it folds up beautifully in my bag so I can transport it back and forth between in person and remote learning. The kids appreciate the clarity of the camera when they are sitting at their desks because they say it's easy to copy from the board. Being able to use the camera has made life SO MUCH easier in all subject areas. The best part! We learned how to share the screen so we can use the camera on half the computer and the other half is whatever workbook page or writing assignment we are working on in the classroom. The kids, my co-teacher and I thank you for your consideration and generosity! Without your constant support of teachers, I don't know how we would be surviving right now.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Digital Resources for Remote and Blended Learning

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

The scanner arrived at the perfect moment. To start the school year with our students we needed to work remotely with them. So we met with our entire class for 5 school days before we even got a chance to begin seeing them in person. I needed to prepare to coordinate with several other teachers on the grade, including teachers who are working remotely from their homes. So in order to share something created by the in-school teachers, the only way to get a copy to those at home was to scan it.

We have already used the scanner to upload curriculum planning calendars so EVERY teacher in 3rd grade can get a copy. I have also used the scanner to take charts that we would normally give out to students in person or even hang in the classroom a home on our Google Classroom Home Page.

This scanner is going to be such a lifesaver, and even if we are lucky enough to return to "normal" school days again, the ability to digitally store all my lessons and charts and EVEN student school work to share with their parents, the school community or even future students makes this work so much easier and faster. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!”

  • Cricut Classroom

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I am extremely grateful for all the support you have given to me and my students with the donations you gave towards my Cricut Explore Air 2. It took some getting used to and learning how to use the machine, but once I got the hang of it, I have been busy trying to create labels for our classroom's Computer Science Cart. The students are excited to see the new names for all the classroom robots that they use during Computer Science. I am hoping with more practice the projects will be plentiful!

Thank you so much for thinking of me and being a part of my Donor's Choose Project!”

    With gratitude,
