My vision is for my students to be recognized as outstanding individuals committed to learning and growing academically and social emotionally. Technology will not replace good teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational" ~ George Couros. My goal is to incorporate technology in daily lessons, small group instructions, workstations and independent task. Technology in my kindergarten class will expose my students to 21st Century learning that will improve engagement, encourage individual learning, teach useful life skills through technology, knowledge retention and better prepare them for college or career readiness. As a kindergarten teacher, I teach all subjects; reading, math, science, social studies, health and physical education. While whole group instructions is important, many of my students have individual learning needs. The use of iPads can help me individualize lessons to my students individual learning levels. Apps can be tailored to different learning levels and maximize instruction time. Technology will allow my students to have one on one instructions that not only moves at their learning pace, but allows for tangible growth in reading and math. Adding Technology will only further learning abilities and engagement.
