  • Wobble While We Work! Comfortable Seating for All...

    Thank you for supporting my students! Transitional seating no longer works for many of them. They prefer removing their shoes, stretching out on the rug, or on an overstuffed chair, reading a good book.

    "Flexible Seating" provides comfort for my students. It also empowers them as they are given the choice to sit where they feel most comfortable. My goal is to give my students more freedom and creativity while actively learning. With these items they have seating options that suit all types of learners. Flexible seating also helps restless students stay focused while energizing those who may feel lethargic.

  • Prepare the Way: Essential Items

    Thank you for supporting my fourth graders! Your generosity has allowed my students and parents to begin the school year stress free. Returning to school and embracing our new normal can be quite a challenge for many. My students are able to complete all assignments without worry or concern about not having what they need. It puts a smile on my face when my students enter our classroom, gather their notebooks and pencil case filled with supplies funded by our donors.

    Providing these essential supplies helped alleviate the burden of families who have been affected by Covid-19. Unfortunately, many have been laid off from their place of employment and are unable to provide the materials needed to help support their child's learning. You made it possible!   • Comfy and Focused Learners

    Thank you so much for our new flexible seating options. My students are excited each day to enter their classroom and be able to choose where they will sit for the duration of the day. They are able to use our flexible seating on a daily basis for relaxation, casual reading, and during whole class instruction. The soft rug is one of their favorites. My students enjoy stretching across the rug as they curl up with a book.

    It's also a well needed option for our students with sensory needs to help them relax.

    Flexible Seating has been one of the best additions to our classroom and my students love them! It adds a level of comfort to the meeting area that allows the students to be calmer as we are learning.

This project is going to enable me to offer my students the technology needed to engage in their online lessons at school. This year we are using a program called i-Ready that offers each student lessons that are on their levels in both reading and math. i-Ready was able to project an attainable growth level that each student can attain by the end of the year if they engage in their online instruction for a minimum of 45 minutes each week in each subject. Most of our students do not have technology devices at home, and getting these Chromebooks will ensure that they will each be given the time they need engaging in these lessons each week.

About my class
