  • iPad for Kindergarten Center Learning Stations

    Funded Dec 19, 2019

This iPad has helped tremendously with independent practice with there letters and math for centers additionally it has been used for center based slide shows with a paraprofessional guiding the group. This has applied a visual and auditory experience that has allowed students to become more independent and love learning. With this iPad we have even used it for our pbis system during instruction allowing students to have a up close visual of the points that they earn with their monsters and they also have the opportunity to provide themselves with points when given the device. Thank you so much for this awesome iPad and we will continue to use it effectively in our classroom for learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amanda

Having an iPad in our classroom would help with our center based learning activities. Students are familiar and very comfortable with technology so this iPad would create a cohesive and balanced work environment during center work. Each station consists of different activities surrounding one core subject whether that be Math ELA Science etc which lasts 15-20 min and then rotations take place. This provides students with small group work as well as providing independence with tasks at their center. Data has shown how effective this method is and how calming it is for students knowing that they will continue to learn but in different ways whether it be visual tactile or auditory. This iPad would serve as an opportunity to give students more support in regards to visual and auditory support in addition to providing students with a preferred mode of communication.
