Thank you so much for your generosity! I can't begin to tell you what it will mean to my students to have these tools at their disposal. I am personally on Cloud-9! They are currently designing projects for next year's productions and your donation will bring those designs to life - allowing us to 'Set the Stage' for all of the student body involved! This classroom project was brought to life by Oklahoma State Department of Education.

The lack of funding from our district has always made it difficult to give my students the quality education that every student deserves. The restrictions and burdens brought upon by COVID-19 have made it near impossible. But we persevere, and theatre helps heal the body, mind, and soul. It is especially important, following these years of isolation and at-home learning, for students to have a creative outlet to explore their creativity, work as a team and express their feelings. In my Stagecraft class, it's important to have a safe environment to develop practical skills such as sewing, woodworking, problem-solving, etc. but they also develop soft skills such as creative thinking, self-confidence, and compassion for others. The sets and costumes created using these tools will benefit not only my Stagecraft class but will set the stage for all student performances in theater, music programs, and school productions - not to mention the increasing the joy experienced by our audiences.
