Collaborative Literacy Center
Funded Jan 7, 2022The resources we purchased with this project allowed us to dive deep into building and growing foundational literacy skills with our multilingual learners. When students have access to reading and writing, speaking and listening practice activities, they are further empowered to be more independent learners. These resources also provided students with the opportunity to practice and better prepare for success on yearly standardized testing.
Many of the resources we purchased with this project are also games and activities that helped us to turn learning into a fun and engaging practice. Learning through play is how students can best put things into their long term memory so it is knowledge that they will have for the rest of their lives. Thanks for supporting lifelong learning!”

Ms. Hannah
Teacher Collaboration
Funded Sep 1, 2022Thank you so much for funding this project. The resources provided allowed teachers to prepare materials quickly and effectively to help our students learn important language skills. Access to materials that other teachers have developed and the ability to share these materials with other teachers in our building was and continues to be so powerful.
The resources we were able to purchase from this project are tools we can use and continue to share for years to come. What's more is that many of the materials we were able to purchase from this TPT gift card are easily adaptable so we can adjust and use them as differentiated resources for learners of all readiness levels and different interests. Thank you for helping us learn and teach in collaboration with our colleagues and students.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and one other donor.Lovely Labels for Learning
Funded Aug 21, 2021Our Cricut Machine is incredible! Thank you so much for your support in helping us purchase this tool. It is useful for labeling our computers and classroom supplies, student projects, books and much more.
The Cricut Machine has also helped us to create rewards and incentives that our students can create and design themselves. We have made stickers and name labels for students and their materials. Also, students were able to engage in the design, printing, cutting, pasting and finishing touches!
While we have only begun to learn how to use this machine, it is an investment for our school and students that will continue to give. It will help us to create organized spaces, full of language and opportunities for students to engage with print text and meaningful images. This tool also helps with student buy-in, as we can involve them in the design and creation of all these labels. Thank you and we cannot wait to keep creating and learn even more about how this machine works and what we can create!”

Multi and Bilingual Students in COVID
Funded Mar 7, 2021The materials we were able to buy with this project are truly invaluable! The learning games, phonics resources and tactile learning resources in this project have made our classes more engaging and provided students with the hands on learning experiences that they need to truly internalize and gain understanding.
The flash cards are excellent for our students just beginning to learn english and the games and phonics resources are exactly what our students need to learn the language and literacy skills they need for success. Using these materials in combination with strategies and small group instruction is and will continue to be how we move our students forward in their learning. What's more, these durable, colorful, tactile, and image heavy resources are exactly the kinds of things that bring language to life and help provide real meaning in our student's learning.
The students we serve in our school for many years to come will be able to use and make meaning with these materials. Thank you!”

Brain Food
Funded Mar 30, 2021Thank you so much for all our snacks! They have been vital during covid and our students would not have made the progress they did without your support.
Scientific research shows that kids who get better nutrition perform better at school and in their development overall. Our students had hot oatmeal, a supply of granola bars and even hot chocolate, as a nice warm treat for those cold days. We were also able to share food together which helped us to create and maintain a strong and healthy community!
Food insecurity is also not always visible and being able to provide students with snacks during the day, no questions asked, made learning possible. While lunches and breakfast are currently free for our students, we were able to provide them with a little more throughout the day and their smiles, attitudes and learning growth have shown that access to food made a difference. I hope we can fund future projects like this one for my own students as well as other across the country, because brain power requires food!
Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Hannah
