Thank you so much for assisting with my project. The students have been working very hard to learn to use the machines and to cut out and sew a pattern. They are also learning to thread and rewind the bobbins. They are enjoying the new experience and are discussing that they would like to get their own sewing machine and to work in projects at home. It is my hope that we will be able to create our own quilt to represent our school and show off all their new skills. It is my hope that this is a life long skill that they can develop. Thank you so much!”
My girls are loving the machines and cannot wait to start more projects! Thank you so much for your gifts. We are learning to repair clothing , cut out patterns correctly and to construct them using the machines. It is my hope that we will be able to construct a quilt for the school. It will represent all grades and the history of our school. Again thank you for your thoughtful gift of sewing. Many of the girls have expressed an interest in fashion design and hopefully this will be the first step to assist them in fulfilling their dreams!”
Thank you so much for your generosity! I cannot wait to get started teaching my students to sew. We are going to learn as many aspects of sewing as we can. I hope to even start teaching them to make their own clothes as well as mend and care for clothes they already have. Thank you again!”
My current camera does not focus or allow students in the back of the room to see the material under the document camera very clearly. I would love to get a new camera that would add new dimensions to their learning. Without the ability to see the material, my students that struggle with learning often get lost on where we are working and cannot focus on the lesson being presented. The sunlight often distorts the images and the camera bulb often burns out and eventually will not be able to be replaced as my unit is over 15 years old.
All of my mathematics books are available on line as well as using the document camera to show worksheets and to work though projects together. When small groups complete activities, they use the camera to show their work to their classmates and to discuss answers as well as possible mistakes that are made.
