In order for the students to be successful learners, they must first be able to focus on the lesson! I have some incredibly eager learners, but they have a very hard time focusing. No matter how interested they are in the topic, they just can't sit still! It makes it hard for them (as well as the other students around them) to pay attention. As a result, they cannot complete a task or contribute to their group's discussion. I can't tell you how many (regular) stools at the reading table have broken because of a bad case of the wiggles! I truly believe that these wobble stools will help these students focus and concentrate. I included the multiplication flashcards in this request because it is extremely important for third graders to memorize their facts. My students work so well together. I know these cards will be put to good use!
