My attendance at the conference will create STEM partnerships and relationships,so that I can connect my students to professionals and organizations that can give them greater exposure to the areas of STEM. These connections can ultimately lead to field trips, mentoring, and additional resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. Working with a large minority population, the knowledge and resources I will gain will allow expand my ability to provide opportunities for my students to engage in the STEM community. One of the key issues that my students deal with is identity and equity which is one of the tracks offered at the conference.

About my class
