  • Add a Little Color to Your World

    Funded Mar 23, 2022

First off, thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. We have used the supplies for multiple projects and they have added so much color to our artwork! One specific project was the pumpkin project where second graders added extra details with paint sticks. We also used the paint sticks for our fall leaf project in first grade, where students sorted the warm and cool colors to make beautifully vibrant art.

No matter what grade level comes to the art room, all of my students love using the paint sticks. I have noticed that the paint sticks are easy to use especially for my younger students and my students with special needs. The paint sticks are not only easy to use, but also they are not messy and the paint dries very fast!

Currently, my kindergarten students are working on a gumball machine using the paint sticks to add extra details to the background. This has added so much color and creativity to their artwork that they didn't have before. The paint sticks have been a great addition to our classroom and I foresee ordering them every year! Thank you again for your generous donation and for making a difference in the time my students spend in the art room.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jaime

  • Rolling, Rolling, Rolling Out That Clay!

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

My fifth grade students recently created these beautiful clay pocket planters with the supplies you donated to our school. The students actually cheered and clapped when they learned that we received new clay rollers and stampers. We were able to use the rollers to roll slabs of clay. Then, we used the rubber stampers to press a variety of textures into the clay. Once the clay was dried and fired in the kiln, students were able to glaze their creations and added wire to hang their planters! What an engaging project for this time of the year!

Your donation made it possible for us to create clay projects yet for this school year! We plan to use your donation for many years to come.

We are very thankful for your donation. The students and I appreciate your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jaime

  • GLAZE that Clay!!

    Funded Mar 23, 2020

It has been one and a half years since my students have physically been in the art room and just as long since we have been able to do clay projects. We have recently been able to start creating with clay again, and my students are excited beyond belief. They have been able to glaze their clay projects and can barely contain their excitement when deciding what colors to use. Most days I have at least 10 students that tell me that they love coming to art class and that clay is their favorite art supply! Thank you so much for funding the Glaze that Clay project through Donors Choose. I am beyond grateful for your generosity. You have made so many children happy and proud of their artwork. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jaime
