We are trying to start a garden program here at our school and are working hard to try and secure donations. We would love to have some worm bins so that students have hands-on experience with composting and learn how decomposers aren't yucky--rather, they are essential to a healthy garden! Composting is an essential part of organic gardening. We hope to eventually grow and harvest fruits and veggies for all the students of our school to enjoy. We hope to have a fully organic garden and grow foods that the students can enjoy throughout the spring and early summer into the fall. We will use all gardening materials in correlation with the NJ Science Standards and for all grades, K-4.
