Reading games that help with sight words and phonics will help my students to be more confident in their reading abilities and they will want to read more. The sensory objects will help my students to be able to focus more while doing assignments and while the teacher is teaching. I have a few 5th and 6th graders that are very low on their reading. If I can help them to read better and learn to enjoy reading then that will help them to go so far in life. Also, a lot of my students struggle with staying focused and getting distracted easily. If they had stretchy bands on their desks or chairs, or if they had a cushion to sit on and wiggle a little that will definitely help them to succeed much better in school.
