Translation Help
Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you for donating to my project! I've been using the device to translate for my students and their families. The device has been helpful in communicating basic information and concerns to the families, such as about the upcoming field trip or exams.
The device can also translate to multiple languages, which is super helpful for my school because it consists of many bilingual and multilingual students. The device is very small and portable and it is so convenient to bring anywhere inside the school. Thank you once again for your generous support!”

Funded Dec 9, 2022The yoga mats have helped greatly with flexible seating! Students also were able to do yoga poses when they need time to calm down or relax, especially during transitions. My students were super excited to get new supplies in the classroom! They also followed along the yoga pose cards and played the sort and matching games (for behavior and choices). My students were very excited for the cards and games because they react well to visuals, along with anything that involves movement. My students are extremely grateful for each and every donor who contributed to this project.”

Funded Dec 16, 2021Thanks so much for your support. My students are doing very well self regulating themselves with their new fidget toys. The peace corner in my classroom is well stocked and students enjoy having a break when needed.
My students are also looking forward to get points on their behavior chart to get new fidget toys. From the start of this project, I've seen a huge improvement on student learning. They are improving not just on their academics but also their socio emotional development. Transitioning from remote to in person was a huge challenge this school year and I am glad that they are reacting well to this change. Thank you all once again for supporting my classroom and students.”

Sensory Help
Funded Dec 1, 2020My students absolutely love the slime and putty kit and the treasure chest. The treasure chest was a great support in the prize system to keep my students motivated throughout a tough school year! The slime and putty helped my students to get their extra energy out while also remaining seated in their area, due to COVID 19 guidelines. My students also all love having their turn on the beanbag, which was a great addition to the classroom peace corner! They loved sitting on it during ipad or reading time and the beanbag was so easy to clean with a wipe! Thank you so much for your donations and support!”

Funded Jan 14, 2021Thank you so much for the color printer! It is so helpful in printing out booklets and worksheets with color. My students have special and language needs so they rely heavily on visuals. When everything is print out in color, they are able to understand and view the pictures better. My students were so amazed by the color printer because we do not have a working one in the school building. My students also love typing on google docs with color to show different parts of their writing and they love seeing their work printed out in color. Thank you so much for your donations and support!”

Remote Learning With TpT
Funded Sep 7, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my project :) The teachers pay teachers gift card really helped me to gather online resources for my students. I also share my resources from the TPT website with other coworkers and administrators and they absolutely loved it! I was able to find many resources for my students with language and special needs, including differentiated worksheets and worksheets in various languages! This was an amazing joy for my multilingual and multicultural classroom! Once again, I am truly grateful for everyone's support and my students are definitely improving and succeeding more in school!”

Funded Nov 17, 2020Thanks so much for donating to my project for flexible seating! My students will be returning back to the classroom for in person learning. They are an energetic bunch who are so eager to learn. Staying in one room and spot in the classroom is very difficult for my students with special needs. However, it must be done because of COVID 19 and policies. Therefore, having them use flexible seating will let them unleashed the extra energy while helping them stay on task for the assignments. Once again, thank you so much for helping my students further succeed in school!”

Ready to Learn!
Funded Aug 20, 2020My students loved the new resources! It's so helpful for having in person learning during a pandemic. They were so excited to have new materials since there are budget cuts this school year. We were able to use the materials to organize our worksheets, make projects, and do various activities. My students also love using the sanitizer and wipes to clean everything. They understand it is very important to keep themselves and their work space in the classroom clean and safe during COVID 19. It is also a health and safety lesson that my students learn prior to returning to the classroom. We are so grateful for your donations and support :)”

School Supplies
Funded Aug 9, 2020I am so grateful for all of your support and donations! My students are doing well with adjusting back and forth to in person learning and remote learning. They had the chance to spend at least 5 weeks for in person learning (5 days a week) and they absolutely miss being back at school with their friends and teachers.
My students really enjoyed having the laminating machine and pouches because we got to reuse items by cleaning them with a wipe or sanitizer. Our school is a smaller school and most of the students come from low-income backgrounds. Therefore, we do not have the funding to afford new materials and supplies (which is very unfortunate). However, we were able to laminate all of our favorite worksheets and story sheets to keep reusing them and sharing with our friends by cleaning them after each use. Thank you so very much!”

Funded Dec 20, 2019Technology is helping my students learn by allowing them to go on school internet programs at home. I can use the school internet programs to assign my students work and reading passages. The programs also allow me to assess my students on how they are progressing in their reading. A popular internet program that my school uses is called "Mathletics", which helps students learn and practice math skills like basic addition and multiplication facts. Allowing my students to access and use Mathletics motivates them during math periods, rather than just handing out lecture slides and worksheets.
Right now, NYC is facing the coronavirus. We are unsure if schools will ever be closed but in the event that they do, we can still teach using technology to prevent community spread. We have decided to implement Google classroom/hangouts in case of school closure. Having the ipad allows my student to stay home during a pandemic and still be allowed similar learning opportunities as shown in the classroom. My student enjoys how the ipad is a touchscreen device since it is easier for him to use as compared to a laptop. I am very grateful for all of your donations to making this project a reality for my students!”
