A self-contained classroom with a room full of emerging readers! We have worked hard to provide rich academic content for the students of our class. We truly individualize for each student! In addition to the digital curriculum we use, there is also small group and large group instruction. We are adding an individualized reading program in which the students can read along with stories/books of their choice through their assigned IPads. We are movers and shakers in our class! Due to frequent and necessary movement, cords have become our enemy. We have learned to take very good care of the actual headsets, but the cords that dangle, get caught on the corners of tables, chair legs, our hands and sometimes even our feet. We have sensory processing issues, so hearing everyone's tablet is very distracting to our learning process. Wireless headphones would allow us to continue to access our individualized digital curriculum/supplements, without interrupting our class mates.
