  • Glitz, Glam & Color!

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Without you, this would not be possible. I am so excited to be able to make behavior charts and add some color to the materials I use for my students with this color printer. This resource will be a great addition to my room.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Flanigan

  • Counseling Office Resources

    Funded Nov 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. It is because of people like you that my students will have flexible seating choices and sensory toys to use. I am extremely grateful and appreciative, especially to the kind donations of strangers. My students will be so thankful, especially during a time of giving.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Flanigan

  • Calm Down Corner

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students feel so at home when they enter my room. I've had students take their shoes off to walk on the rug, students ask to take a nap, and students self-regulate when they need a few minutes. This calm-down corner has made such a difference for my students and has given them a space to express themselves appropriately.

This would not have bene possible without your help and support. This is something I always envisioned in my counseling space and I am so thankful for your generous donations to make my dream a reality.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Flanigan

  • Let's Help Learn about Feelings!

    Funded Sep 18, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations. My students are absolutely loving the resources that were contributed to my school through this project. The read-aloud are a great addition to our social-emotional learning block during the school day. Students have been able to make connections to stories that we have read previously in the school year and have also been able to make real-world applications to the lessons they are learning in class. These books have also helped me work with students individually and in small groups. One of my students absolutely loved learning about different breathing strategies using Breathe Like a Bear.

My students absolutely love coming into my room and seeing all the new resources I have for them. They are always excited to learn about new things. My students also love when I am able to do push-in whole class counseling lessons. This is one of my favorite parts of my job. I know that the students love it just as much as I do. Also, these resources have helped support me during this time.

Throughout the remainder of the school year, I will continue to prioritize the social-emotional development of all students, whether it be in a whole group setting, in a small group, or individually.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Flanigan

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning as they will help to address their social-emotional needs during a time of trauma, unknown, and uncertainty. Students will need a social-emotional skillset to help address their needs. These materials will help students who are learning from home as I will provide in-person counseling services as well as remote services. Social-emotional learning is more important now than ever. In an ever-changing world, we need to make sure that this social-emotional curriculum supports all students. To paint the picture of what this will look like, I figured it is best to share why I love my job. I love my job because of the fact that I can work with a variety of different students who come from all walks of life. I love teaching students about feelings and helping them identify what to do with those feelings. I love teaching students about empathy and how they can form better relationships with others. I love teaching my students about equity and how we need to embrace our differences. I love teaching young students how to share and take turns and how to problem-solve when they get stuck. I love teaching students about friendship and how to make friends. Most importantly, I love my students and how excited they are to come to counseling. I love how much they love learning about these things- it makes their growth so much easier :)
