Remember watching the magic school bus as a little kid? Imagine how cool it would be if you had a teacher like Ms. Frizzle, who could take you into outer space, into the body systems to have hands-on activities that will change my students on what they know and what they could know. I teach middle school science and engineering. These students are bright, hard-working and motivated to learn. Sadly, most of my students will never get to learn in an informal setting such as visiting NASA, or seeing the beach or exploring their own home town museum due to financial situations. Help me give my student opportunities by bringing all those experiences to them. What I plan to do with the Virtual reality system. Google Expeditions - take them on virtual field trips around the world. Titans of Space - Take them into the solar system to explore other planets InCell VR - Explore the bodies systems Star Chart - Explore thousands of star systems Apollo 11 VR - Explore the tribulations of the Apollo missions. creating virtual realities is not as impossible as it sounds. Co Spaces- Students are actively involved in the creation and creative process that goes into building a VR world TiltBrush – Creating 3D paintings is every artist’s dream, and now with TiltBrush, it is a reality. Painting is done using a handheld “paintbrush,” and the creative possibilities will be awe-inspiring for any creative student. Anatomy 4D – study the human body with clear images that come to life. Ideal for biology students or anyone with interest in the inner workings of the body. And many more! Let me be Ms. Frizzle to my students.
