  • Fantastic Media Centers in the Library!

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you so very much for supporting learning in the library. Our students are able to experience 50 minutes of unpressured learning once they enter the library.

There is always a learning goal in mind when our scholars enter the library. Your support allows the students to accomplish their goals with readily available tools.

Students are able to read online and listen with the headphones you've provided. Each class has 20-25 students. Now, all students have headphones, no more waiting for classmates to finish using headphones!

Thank you also for the ink for our printer. Students are able to print their research and pictures to support their research projects.

Many of our students do not have any materials at home. I am grateful to you for ensuring that the library space is fully supplied, and ready to meet the needs of our young creators.

    Happy holidays!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sutton

  • We Are the Champions!

    Funded May 9, 2022

Thank you again for your contribution. Our students are so very lucky to have people who care about their successes! I love seeing the confidence they show as they know that they will have everything they need to complete their projects. Many students dislike missing school, because they have no materials at home. They say, "I wish that we could come to school on the weekends." They also often ask if they can donate books to the library so they may help another child. They are learning what it means to give back.

Thank you again, and please know that all of our students appreciate your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sutton

  • We are Forging the Continuity of Learning and Teaching!

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

Thank you so much for your invaluable gifts. Our students are living in some pretty unusual times right now, and to find that there are still angels out there is a great feeling.

The students were so happy to see so many new materials, and they were excited to begin using them. Valentine's day is approaching,, and the students love writing love notes to their parents on color paper with die-cut hearts and angels. The students will also be creating projects for Black History Month. We have everything we need!

We continue to practice safety protocols, and thanks to you, we are able to complete assignments without having to share materials. When a student is able to express themselves and produce a product,, it truly helps their self-esteem, and they really love having a project to take home to share with their families.

Thank you for being the bright light for our Tinsley students!”

    Ms. Sutton

  • We Are Thriving For Excellence, Safely

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I know that you can imagine how challenging this year has been. We have experienced students not being able to log onto synchronous education. We have students who have lost family members, and students who have caught the coronavirus themselves. It has been a unbelievable year.

We do have many families that will allow their children to attend school, Those students are so grateful to you for providing sanitizer and personal supplies. In the library we were accustomed to sharing supplies across the grade levels. Thanks to you, I am able to give each student their own products to work with, and keep their hands sanitized with the other products.

We have created letters to President Joe Biden, Valentine's Day cards, Poems during poetry month, and will soon create Mother's Day cards. Having these readily available supplies helps our students forget about the worries of their days and be able to create heartfelt projects. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sutton

  • Tell Me, Show Me, Let Me!

    Funded Mar 21, 2020

Thank you very much for contributing to the much needed supplies for our school. This project was delivered after we began our new virtual learning and teaching world.

Once we returned to school, we were able to use the wonderful new set of the student's favorite books, The Big Nate collection, and The Dog Man collection. They were thrilled. Our copies of Nate books are damaged from so many students checking them out and taking them home. We appreciate the new books.

The all new Fire HD tablet comes in quite handy to help the special needs students engage in listening to ebooks online, or whatever their choices are on the internet. We have large computers. Using a smaller device is more comfortable for these students. Our district has recently supplied all of our students with tablets to take home and work with while at school. Thank you for supporting these efforts.

All of the other craft products, tag board paper, glue sticks, ink, and craft sticks truly help to support our students artistic creations. We are able to create projects to share with parents, and the students are able to show their learning through art. We thank you! We have many smiling students thanks to your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sutton

  • Dreamers Can Dream! Show Me, and I Remember.

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I am supremely happy that the project has been funded so quickly. We have a huge art show planned for our school Christmas performance art night, and the supplies will arrive just in the nick of time.

Our students are not used to showing their art talent, they are tickled pink with the thought of being featured in the art show! Many of the students will be using this experience in their applications to MAGNET middle schools. It is a win, win for everyone! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Let's go!!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sutton

Working with English language learners, it is always helpful to allow them to see what you are trying to convey. A printer will help create pictures and literacy paper activities. Our students are beginning to read online. Technology and technology accessories are needed. The students are able to hear English spoken through the earphones, while they read. We do not have an art class. I am able to integrate art in the library, as an activity, after the read aloud. The students love the opportunity to create and take home art projects. The students are able to show reading comprehension through their art projects.
