  • Diverse Books for Deserving Scholars!

    My students and I are so grateful for the books that they received because of your generosity!

    Each of my students were able to have at least two new books to call their own!

    Most of the books depict diverse characters and/or cultures, which is SO important for children to see and learn from.

    I will never forget the smiles on their faces when they received their green gift bag with books and treats from me, their teacher who they had only seen virtually. I can guarantee that meeting their teacher for the first time in person in hand with rich picture books made that day and memory even sweeter for them!

    Through the texts that were received my students were able to have access to hardcopies of books to read over the summer.

    Being that our lives were forever changed by the pandemic, being able to give my students books and the writing prompt journal was a way to keep their minds rich with knowledge and joy.

    I have many students who don't have access to quality books at home, so these students were SO excited to see that green goody bag filled with something just for them!

After the lessons are taught, students need time to practice the skills they have learned! My scholars practice these skills in small groups and through station activities. My scholars will be able to practice reading and writing their sight words, letters, digraphs, and complete sentences! I will also be able to create long lasting station activities by laminating resources and putting them in sheet protectors! In order to have successful literacy stations and small groups, my scholars need specific materials and resources! These materials and resources are crucial to my scholar's development and practice of key foundational skills in First Grade. We truly appreciate your love and support!
