By building a STEM Maker Space students can learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in fun, engaging ways to get them actively engaged in their learning. Students will be given opportunities to be creative and inventive using their problem solving skills.
My students come from low economic backgrounds with very little resources, by donating to our project you will be helping students discover, create, explore, invent, problem solve, and inspire, opening them up to a whole new world of possibilities.
My students and future students will use these resources to explore hands-on STEM activities. Reading books like "Ada Twist: Scientist," "Rosie Revere: Engineer," and "Iggy Peck: Architect," will help to inspire them to achieve more than they that was possible. My students will be able to have access to different building materials such as Brain Flakes, and Magnetic Tiles to complete problem-solving challenges. Students will also be able to explore what coding is through tools like OSMO's coding Awbe sparking new interests. Students will be able to have easy access to these materials with an organized cart to hold all the materials.
I want every student to know that they have the ability to become and do anything they set their mind to! I want my students to feel inspired and excited with the potential they have and be able to share that with the world. I want my students to become leaders and take initiative that go beyond the four walls of our classroom. By having a Maker Space and with your help I believe we can achieve that!
