Osmo Creating a Genius
Funded Jun 25, 2020My initial project could not filled but I was able to receive a replacement. Thank you for my Scratch Jr. Activity Cards. I am an instructional technology coach that teaches 18 classes. When we go back on campus, I plan to disperse a set of activity cards to each classroom and assign the activities. This way we can all stay safe and each class can have a class set instead of 500 little hands touching the cards on a weekly basis.
I am currently prepping and planning activities. I have previously used the app with my students and they love it! I can't wait to see their expression when they can use activity cards to create their own projects.
We are not currently on campus but we continue to code through distance learning. I was able to go to campus before they closed it for a few minutes and picked up one of the sets. I am currently working on assignments using the activity cards for the students to complete while at home. I am creating Seesaw activities and making videos on how to screen record as well and send me their coding projects once they have completed the lesson. I need to make sure that students understand as well as their teacher and parents. I will continue to use the cards as well as online projects to have my students use their creativity to express themselves. Thank you again for your donation and supporting my dream of coding with my students.”

Scratching to Learn Code...
Funded Dec 17, 2019Pathfinders Institute was interactive, collaborative and prepared me to implement what I learned. We were introduced to coding unplugged lessons through Robot Turtles, KIBO Robots and Scratch Jr. coding app.
My students and teachers will benefit from all that I have learned. I can already see their thinking process and creativity as they code their projects. I can't wait to hold a workshop for my teachers to show them everything I have learned.
This was the best professional development I have been to in a long time. I wanted it to last longer. The institute allowed me to collaborate with educators around the USA. I have made friends that I continue to communicate after the Institute. This was definitely my highlight.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nishimoto
