Preschool aged children learn and experience their world through play and social interactions. Our classroom needs additional fun and engaging play type resources to help facilitate our students speech and language development. Preschool aged children are working hard at developing the skills required to pay attention for longer periods of time, but holding their attention can be significant challenge. A preschoolers language development is rapidly expanding at this age and they are constantly forming and building on new connections between themselves and the world around them. Their vocabulary, and sentence structure is developing and becoming more complex while verbal reasoning and problem solving skills are emerging. Resources need to be fun, engaging, interesting and highly motivating in order to keep a preschoolers attention. Flash cards are great for drill type therapy and testing, and games are ideal for positive reinforcement and to increase motivation. Our school opened in 2018 and we are in great need of flashcards, games, and play resources so that we can ensure the proper development of our kids speech and language into the future.
