Flexible writing desks allow the students to take charge of their writing during writers workshop. The students will utilize the desk to move around the classroom in order to collaborate with their classmates about their stories. My students already utilize all areas of the classroom for inspiration, such as the tables, carpet, and the workstation areas. Adding flexible writing desks will add one more place for them to work with their friends to create even more amazing stories! My goal is to create, not just good readers, but excellent readers and writers, and this means creating an environment that fosters creativity!
