Extra! Extra! Creating a School Newspaper!
Funded Dec 14, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. I am excited to start using the materials in class. I know the students will be excited to be part of the news writing business and it will be a fun way to get them excited about writing. The supplies you provided will help us stay organized and be able to print our newspaper. The supplies will also help me know some tricks and lessons I can teach to make sure the paper is a success. Makerspace Thanksgiving Project!
Funded Nov 3, 2023Thank you so much for the donation to our classroom. The fifth graders at my school were able to create an adorable craft for our school Thanksgiving feast and were able to take it home to enjoy at their family celebrations. It was so wonderful to be able to take a break and create with the students and not have to provide all the supplies myself. Thank you for investing in our school and community. We appreciate the extras that we were able to enjoy because of your generous donation. The students had so much fun creating these crafts.”

Funded Jul 25, 2023Thank you so much for providing posters and materials for my 5th grade writing and English class. We have already used many of the materials in class and with our writing. The posters are a great way to reinforce the lessons that are being taught and to help remind students of different ideas or rules in writing. These items are useful and help to create a comfortable and pleasing learning environment. These things would normally have to come out of a teachers own pocket, but I am so lucky to have great support from our community. Thank you for caring about the students in our community.”

Reading Fun
Funded Mar 30, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our project. Many students have already used the books and supplies that you helped me obtain. The amount of books I was able to order, has helped create a variety of texts from many different genres and many different cultures, races, and ethnicities. I am so glad we are able to provide a wide range of titles and topics for our students to truly discover a love for reading and learning. Thank you so much for providing the basic need of books to our classroom. Our students are very grateful.”

Funded Aug 12, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to our class. We have begun to write this year and are using the color printer to create posters and anchor charts for the room. The students are using colored pictures to enhance our nonfiction writing by using graphs, charts, and pictures. This brings the writing to life and helps create excitement and engagement with the students. I am hoping that combining the creativity or writing and visual arts, we can spark a fire in some of these students to becomes more interested in writing and presentations. Thank you for helping our classroom become a fun place to learn!”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. Thanks to you, we are able to use the decodable readers in our small groups. Having the materials ready to go is so helpful. We are able to grab these when we have a few extra minutes and practice. It is also helpful that they go with our phonic lessons. It helps tie all of our lessons together. When we started receiving the readers, the students were so excited to start reading and exploring the texts. Having access to decodable books is so important to the growth of students.”

Funded Dec 13, 2022Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. We have been using the seats, rug and chair bands for a while now and have enjoyed them very much. The rug makes a comfortable spot for read aloud stories, moving closing to the smartboard to work, and also a soft place to use our stem bins. The chairs have been a nice alternative to being stuck in a chair all the time and the students enjoy when it is their day to use them. Each student has a chair band. I especially love this for our shorter students whose feet might not reach the floor yet. This gives students a comfortable place to rest their feet or helps to get the wiggles out by allowing them more movement at their seat with out distracting others. When the students first saw these items, they were very excited and could hardly wait to unwrap them and begin using them. Thank you for making our classroom a comfortable place to learn for our students.”
