In my ninth grade social studies class, I teach students how to connect to to their environments, and guide them through the past to encourage them to make positive decisions and be active and engaged citizens of the future. With these computers, students can explore online learning platforms such as digital museum walk through, and in depth research projects. These kinds of activities will create a deeper understanding of the material. Access to digital learning platforms is essential for these students as their future careers are firmly rooted in the digital age. Early access to and develop of technology skills will directly help them be prepared for their careers after graduation.
