  • GATE Students Can Print In 3D

    Funded Nov 3, 2023

The 3d printer has had more of an impact than I originally thought. Students aren't just learning to use the 3d printer, they are learning how to code, create, and learning about our abstract concept of structure. Structures have parts that go together and help one another, but are only as strong as those parts. Students have learned how to work together, as well as learning about their own abilities.

Furthermore, the 3d printer has allowed us the chance to print rewards, gifts, prizes, and various other items that have benefited our class, as well as the school. More importantly, our ability to purchase and use our 3d printer has prompted other classes to do the same. This offers students in general education classrooms the chance to learn many of the same skills. I am proud of my students and we all thank our donors.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rohlman

  • Supplies Needed For GATE Enrichment Activities.

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Providing support to my students has allowed many projects to be completed in my our classroom. My students have been given materials they need to continue to bring out their giftedness and enrich their thinking. Students have been more active and involved in the classroom, ensuring that they are continuing to learn.

once the materials arrived, students began using them to create, build, and develop ideas into real life. The excitement on my students faces reaffirmed why I teach and why support from families and businesses is important.”

  • Time to go Old School (Pun Intended) With Some Whiteboards!

    Funded Sep 6, 2020

Each student was able to receive brand new whiteboards, markers, erasers, and additional supplies that they needed for the classroom. Students enjoy using their whiteboards for number talks each day, solving equations, sharing ideas, and drawing when they just need a break. Providing new (not old damaged) whiteboards to my students brightened their spirits and showed that the donors and I care about them.

In addition, the additional supplies, ensured that students who would typically go without new materials never have to feel left out. I provide everything my students need because I never want anyone to feel that they have to go without. Thank you again for your support and generosity.”

  • Life Is Better When We Can All Learn Together!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Words cannot express how thankful I am for you and your donations towards this project. I spent an entire day today putting together supplies in backpacks for my students to pick up for home use. They now have a good assortment of tools that will help them in this online learning journey. These kids now have the ease of the whiteboards and markers to help in their learning. They will be better able to tackle math strategies, sentence formation, writing, brainstorming, etc. The individual needing a computer now has the ability to learn with the rest of us and can access online resources to better progress through fourth grade. All of these items are going to make a world of difference to their distant learning. Thank you, thank you! I cannot say it enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rohlman

As our world transitions to more of an electronic driven lifestyle, I teach my students skills they will use throughout their life. Having laptops to type their writing assignments on, conduct research, and utilize online educational resources will help prepare my students for tomorrow's world. In addition, students find utilization of computers in our classroom relaxes them and builds their confidence. Also, lets face it, students enjoy using electronics any chance they get. My classroom doesn't have enough devices to provide each student with their own, but with these two laptops, we'll be able to provide at least half of the class with one and utilize sharing throughout the day to make it work.
