All children can learn if strongly supported and enthusiastically encouraged. Having an influx of new immigrants in our school has been challenging but rewarding at the same time. I want all of my ENL students to progress academically and have a wonderful future. Our dedicated group of learners face many challenges on a daily basis since many live in shelters. My school has a diverse population and in my classroom I have different learners with unique learning styles. I'm an ENL teacher at MS226 so I have the privilege of teaching middle school students that are learning English as a New Language. I strive to cultivate a positive atmosphere for all of my ENL students emphasizing collaboration, creativity and a love for learning. Encouragement and affirmation are abundant in my classroom, but resources are not! Your support in helping change that is very much appreciated! Thank you for your donations!
