All of my students want to learn to paint at least once in their lives. My class can only have one or two opportunities to do extended art projects a year. The chance to paint on canvas will inspire them. Exploring with color will open their eyes to the world, In class, the Ipad will provide the opportunity for the kids to play in the music online. The chance to play different instruments will broaden their understanding of music. This will help them with the basic idea of a steady beat in music and songs and it also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. I would ultimately like to have the students connect with other musicians and get comfortable enough to play with the other musicians. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build musicianship and to be able to practice socialization. I can see this leading to musical theater and plays in the future.
