We will use these items along with our library activities to establish higher order thinking skills. The library should be a place to explore and expand. These items will enable us to do that. This project will not be used as a reward but as an everyday activity. Students will rotate from activity to activity. The majority of our students are free or reduced lunch. This is a Title I school. Most of these students are not exposed to library books other than the school setting so I know they are not exposed to STEM activities. I know how it feels to accomplish something you have really worked on. I want to see the wonder and satisfaction in my students as they complete these tasks. I want the students to be excited about what they are doing in the library.
