Mailbox for Kindergarten!
Funded Feb 11, 2022Thank you so much for donating so that my class can have a mailbox to store all their folders and papers throughout the day. This has been so useful throughout the whole year to help us stay organized. As you can imagine, there are so many papers and drawings that the students take home every day and this ensures those get home! This is a piece of furniture that should be in all classrooms and my students and I are so happy to finally have one in our room.
Thank you again for contributing to support my students!”

Funded Nov 5, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my first graders at Teachers College Community School! The color printer and a laminator have been SO useful throughout the year so far. I've been able to print pictures of the students as well as engaging material for the classroom. Having access to a laminator is amazing as I'm able to save materials and use them over and over, saving lots of time! I've been able to create interactive games by using the laminator so the students can learn to read. Thank you again!”

Help Kindergarten Stay Organized!
Funded Oct 21, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my first graders at Teachers College Community School! These seat sacks have been a LIFE SAVER! There are so many materials used in first grade, such as white boards, markers, erasers, folders, reading book baggies, and much more! Having all their materials in one place saves so much time throughout the day so they aren't getting up to get materials. It gives them assess to everything they need throughout the day! It also teaches students responsibility to take care of their materials. Thank you again!!”

Kindergarten Needs Phonics Games!
Funded Dec 23, 2021Thank you again for support our first graders at Teachers College Community School! These fun, interactive games have really supported students who have been struggling with reading. They now look forward to reading time because they get to play these games! Making learning fun and engaging it always a challenge, but having access to these materials really helps!
These materials also support students in working and reading together. Due to the pandemic, some students lack necessary social skills, and these games can be played in partnerships fostering student relationships. Thank you so much!!”

Kindergarten Loves Dr. Seuss!
Funded Nov 20, 2021Thank you SO much for supporting the first grade library at Teachers College Community School. The students were super excited when we received our package of Dr. Seuss books! Whenever we have extra time, the children are allowed to read books of their choice, and Dr. Seuss is always their go to! They love reading the books together and laughing at the pages. There is now never a shortage of their favorite books. Whenever I choose one of these books for read alouds, the class erupts in cheering! Thank you again for always supporting our students!”

Kindergarten Learns Through Play
Funded Oct 8, 2021Thank you again for your generous donation! My students were SO excited to receive these magnatiles! It is definitely their favorite activity during choice time at the end of the day. They're able to build and work together using their creativity. I've notice students are building their problem solving skills as they play together. My kindergarteners have never had a traditional year of schooling yet, so getting along with others is something they're still working on. Having them engage in an activity they enjoy, while they're learning these skills is priceless. Thank you again!”

Kindergarteners Need a Carpet!
Funded Sep 30, 2021Thank you again for your beyond generous donation! I can't imagine my classroom without a carpet anymore! Before the carpet, my students needed to sit at their desks or when we did gather together they sat on the floor (definitely not comfortable). Because of your generous donation, my kindergarteners now have a place we can gather as a classroom community, where they feel comfortable and safe. This carpet has also brought my classroom together and brightened it up! Just how every Kindergarten class should look like! They were SO excited when they saw the carpet being delivered and couldn't stop touching it once it was out! Thank you again for supporting my students!”

Kindergarten Learns to Read!
Funded Sep 30, 2020Thank you so much for funding this project! Your generosity means the world to my classroom! The supplies funded included engaging letter tubs that were used to teach my kindergartens their letters and sounds. We focused on 1 letter a day and their favorite part of the day was seeing the tub of goodies that all began with that letter! My students were remote last year and this project really captured their attention and I can't thank you enough for supporting my class! This was the beginning of them learning to read and write!”
