Writing Tools for Spectacular Writers
Funded Sep 19, 2024My students and I are so grateful for your kind support. We recently worked on a project where we use habit of character like initiative, collaboration, perseverance and responsibility and the materials we needed like writing notebooks and markers were essential for completing the project. My students were really excited when they saw we had markers, pencils and notebooks that came right on time to use in completing our project.
We will continue using these materials to practice writing and sketching our work to improve our understanding and learning.
We cannot thank you enough for your support and help in making our classroom
even greater!”

Funded Nov 9, 2022My students and I cannot explain how happy we are with our new and fabulous materials. We have used some of our math materials in math centers like the addition and subtraction games. These manipulatives have helped my students practice learned skills and develop an expertise that goes beyond what I expected.
My first graders where so excited and eager to use these new materials and put into practice all the skills and new concepts learned during math lessons.
Now that we are starting to work with bigger, more complex math concepts our students are ready to start using the base 10 kit and the money kit to further math knowledge and be prepared to start second grade in September.
Thanks again for supporting this young learners in achieving academic success.”

Funded Oct 17, 2021I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations! Having a color printer has made our students extremely happy! They cannot wait until their drawings and projects are printed and shared with parents and the school community. Our old printer was on its last job and it did not print in color! My students are very much visual learners and using colors when printing pictures has significantly change their attitude towards learning. They are so eager to do more projects and to share them with family, friends and classmates.
My team teachers and I have been able to print mini-books, magazines, and student created projects as well as center cards and games with vivid, rich, cool colors to help our students make connections, visualize and complete projects that have definitely maximize their interest on reading more and creating beautiful writing pieces with wonderful, colorful pictures.
The acquisition of this printer has helped, in particular, students with special needs who are limited in how they are able to write or even articulate their thoughts and ideas but creating art projects in which they are able to use colors and modify their projects in the computer and then see their final project in paper, has been priceless.
My students, team teachers and I are very thankful and appreciative of your support.”

Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you for your generous donations. The IPads my students were able to receive have made a huge difference during their reading workshop. My students are able to use the tablets to listen to and read books, and practice their literary skills and strategies which helps them build their reading comprehension. In many cases the tablets have helped my non readers practice letter names, sounds and are beginning to use blends to create sight words. The IPads will support our classroom in the upcoming months when we start our non-fiction unit in writing because they will be able to use them to do research.
My students were over joyed when they received their IPads because it added support to our limited laptop usage. Now they are able to work in small groups during reading and use audio books to enhance their reading time and improve reading comprehension. Reader's workshop is more enjoyable and engaging because of the resources provided with this project. Thank you!”
