With an inclusion classroom teaching class, our room is filled with various needs. To fit all needs of every learner, we need more options in the room to help them succeed. Flexible, cozy seating is appealing and effective to our students, which is what we are looking to do with our room. We want our room to truly feel like a second home for our students so they can continue to love coming to school, and feel like they can succeed and take ownership of their learning. These new materials will provide this opportunity for them. We do a lot of small group work in the ICT setting, and students will be set up for success depending on the flexible seating options, as well as challenging their thinking through technological tools. Tablets will help promote equity in our room as it provides access to challenges for math lessons, or reteach videos for students who need more help on a lesson. It also provides ways to have students engaged in e-tools for writing, and to practice fluency and decoding skills for reading.
