Students rotate throughout the day from teacher to paraprofessional to computer. iPads are also used in the classroom. Standards have to be taught and assessments have to be given. Our day is busy, and teachers reading books aloud has been pushed on the back burner unfortunately! A listening center with quality books would allow the students to listen to stories on their own without the teacher. Students would be able to hold and look at their own book. Students would be able to see concepts of print such as capitals letters at the beginning of sentences, spaces between words, and ending punctuation marks. Books are everything! Books teach so much! Books can take us on a journey or adventure, or teach us about important information! Learning doesn't always come easy, but books sure help!
