• When You Feed Your Body, You Feed Your Mind

  Thank you so much for your generosity. My students were so happy to receive the goodies. It is amazing how something so small as fruit snacks or chips can change a student's day. We are so thankful to receive these snacks and provide them to our students. It also helps with students that don't have the resources at home.

  It is a great tool to get kids involved; food is always a great reward. The students in my school are financially challenged, and it has been my pleasure to be able to provide them with a meal when they do not have the means to provide it for themselves. I can't even begin to tell you how thankful they are. it truly warms my heart.

  I can't thank you enough for the donations made to my class/ Your kindness matters in so many ways. My students were thrilled beyond words when they saw the boxes of goodies coming in, knowing it was because people choose to simply give because they can.

  So many people seem to forget about the kids who are not in elementary or middle school. They feel that these students are "all grown", and therefor, they can help themselves. However, sometimes it is just these same kids that need the most help. Even though it may only be a granola bar or a bag of chips, the response to this simple treat is immeasurable. The smiles light up their eyes. They are happy for the snacks, and it takes their mind off their stomachs. The end result are happier students and better comprehension scores.

• This Is Truly Food For Thought

  I want to thank you so much for your contributions to my classroom. I must say the treats definitely made a huge impact on my students. I have students who skip meals, not because they want to, but simply because they don't have grab and go food at home. They know that from me, they can get a granola bar, cereal, or something to hold them till lunchtime. It warms my heart that I have the ability to help them out because people like you donated.

  A lot of kids go hungry because they are embarrassed to talk about it. Teens need a lot of fuel, and they don't always have the means to secure it. I have students who work so that their parents can pay bills. While most kids may be saving their money for a car, my students may be saving to help with the light bill. If I can take a bit of stress off their shoulders by simply giving them a snack, I'm so happy to do so.

  Thank you again for your contributions. It means a lot. My students were more attentive with food in their bellies. I was able to get students more interested in lessons, and less heads on the desks. This couldn't have been done without your support.”

• Necessities for All!

  Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! You have no ides how much of an impact you have made! My students are grateful for your support, as am I. I teach in an area that has a high poverty rate. Students can't always afford the "extras." The fact that a perfect stranger donated to them was a big shock to them. They are not used to seeing people do things for them just because they have the means to do so.,

  My students know that if they are hungry, need bandages, water, feminine products etc., they can come to me and I will give it to them. I became a teacher because I care about the next generation. To me, each child matters. Each voice is important. I try to not only listen to my students, but really hear what they are saying. Covid really did a number on the Hialeah community. Many kids lost relatives, not just jobs. If I can make their days a little easier and a bit brighter, then it brightens my day as well. Thank you for helping me do that. It truly means a lot.”

• Put Your Face in a Book and Read!

  Thank you so much for giving my classroom the opportunity to receive the gift of literature. My students were so ecstatic to come up to my little bookshelf and pick things out to read. One particular student of mine has been absolutely loving the Divergent series. My kids have really sparked in interest in reading higher-level books outside of the classroom, mainly because of your contributions, and I can't thank you enough.

  It is the absolute kindness of people like you that allow teachers like me to reach students and inspire them to read beyond what is expected. By reading books that they enjoy, they raise their vocabulary and comprehension levels. This couldn't be achieved without people like you. Again, thank you.”

• Put Your Face in a Book!!!

  This project has done wonders for my students. I have kids come in day in and day out asking to borrow books to read. It is very difficult to provide books for the different reading levels that we have in this classroom. Your donation allowed me to provide books to students on all levels. These are books that they want to read for the sheer pleasure of reading, not because they are told to read it..

  In my classroom, I have students who finish their classwork early, and instead of just sitting around, they will actually get up and grab a book without me even asking them to. In this school, our WIFI is not working all the time. You may have too many people on the server because of testing or other reasons. When you have the actual book, there are no problems with connectivity or electricity. Everyone in my class has the same access to these books.

  I want to thank you again for your generosity. It is appreciated more then you will ever know. These books will not only be enjoyed by the groups of students that I have today, but also the future students that I will have in the years to come.”
