Forensics Science, Practical Final
Funded Aug 29, 2023I cannot express how much this will help my students see how their thoughts, opinions, and ideas matter. This project will also shape students abilities to perform more accurate scientific study. These supplies are things that are hard to acquire by regular channels. This is mainly because forensic science is fairly new to many schools. I’m so excited to see the outcome.”

Funded Oct 27, 2019It really means a lot that you made a donation to my school. Students really get creative when they know that their projects will be boldly, proudly, and colorfully displayed. This printer means a lot to me and my students.
In chemistry, they have been able to create two projects that showcased their knowledge of chemical bonding and atomic concepts. I was able to see so many smiles during the creation of this project, it was truly heartwarming. I saw students who do not always participate in projects do so because they wanted their project to be seen.
In forensics, we were able to do data analysis in color. This meant students could have a deeper grasp of key concepts and skills. It can be truly difficult to analyze small pieces of evidence in a photo if it all is in black and white. Students have been able to work with odontology (studying teeth), trace evidence (easily missed by the eyes), and ballistics since we have received the printer. Since then when we work in groups each group is able to have a picture in color. This has been especially helpful for the students who cannot see very well (which is quite a few) and for the students who really want to touch something while they are learning.
Sometimes their lives seem really boring stuck in hallways with a lack of color and some rooms with little decoration. It has been really nice to be able to fill both the beautiful works that the students have created.
I can't thank you enough and I would like you to know that the students' education is better, even if just a little bit, now.”
