A recent study estimates over the 10 years from 2015 to 2025, UAV integration within national air space will account for $82.1 billion in job creation and economic growth. On a macroeconomic scale, the integration of UAVs could create more than 100,000 jobs. Over 10 years, job creation from commercial drone use will consist primarily of manufacturing and agricultural jobs. As technology continues to grow and play a larger role in our lives, industries are transforming and adapting as well. As a teacher, I must adapt my teaching to meet the needs of my students in this ever-evolving technological world so they will be prepared for future careers. Recently, my students have become increasingly interested in drones, and their new role in society. I would love to expand my students' interest and give them opportunities they would not otherwise have, but with limited resources, I am not able to expand their excitement of drones into my classroom. A Potensic T25 GPS drone, laminator, business and marketing books, and a Workforce Epson Color Inkjet printer will enable my students to learn about business and marketing and create their own business and marketing plans. My students will be required to read business and marketing books to gain an understanding of what a business entails. Students will then research potential properties for their business, supplies, overhead costs, etc. They will create a plan for their business that must incorporate the drone and a plan on how they will use it in their business. I am hoping my students will get their creative juices flowing and come up with some great ideas. A drone, printer, a laminator, and books would be such a great help to my classroom to get my students started on their business ventures.
