Having classroom carpets, create a positive classroom environment that helps bring my class together. Students can meet there during classroom read alouds, turn and talks, and discussions. They can collaborate with one another sharing their thoughts and perspective while listening to others as well. This helps to form a community of learners.
Having classroom carpets make learning easier, more engaging and fun! Also, since they are closer to each other they can hear each other better compared to being spread on while sitting at their desks. Sitting on the carpet at our meeting areas create a more family-oriented learning environment. Students feel more welcome. This fosters togetherness and I am able able to get more of whole class teaching.
